Basketball Recap: Malone Falls Despite Big Games from Yalaysha Barnes and Belicia Faust + How To Watch

Malone lost against Ponce De Leon back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers lost to the Pirates on the road by a 42-27 margin.

Despite the loss, Malone had strong showings from Belicia Faust, who posted 14 points and three steals, and Yalaysha Barnes, who earned five points in addition to nine boards and four blocks. Faust has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Malone's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ponce De Leon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malone won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Graceville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponce De Leon, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bethlehem on Thursday.
