Basketball Recap: Dr. Krop Takes a Loss

Dr. Krop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a hard 60-46 fall against TERRA Environmental. The Lightning were probably out for revenge after losing 81-47 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Dr. Krop still got an impressive performance from Johans Richards, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Richards' evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anigh Gracia, who posted ten points.

TERRA Environmental had a senior duo take command as Nick Merlo shot 7-for-10 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards and Paul Fabian went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Merlo has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Mateo Baron was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Dr. Krop's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for TERRA Environmental, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Dr. Krop didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-43 loss against Everglades on the 3rd. As for TERRA Environmental, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-73 win against North Miami on the 3rd.
