Baseball Game Preview: William Penn Colonials vs. Wilmington Charter Force

The William Penn Colonials are taking a road trip to square off against the Wilmington Charter Force at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, William Penn beat Middletown 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonials.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Charter came into Tuesday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over St. Elizabeth on Tuesday.

Wilmington Charter's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for William Penn, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

William Penn skirted past Wilmington Charter 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonials since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
