Football Preview: Franklin County Flyers vs. Spencer County Bears
Franklin County is 7-1 against Spencer County since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Flyers will host the Bears at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Franklin County found their leader in sophomore Barret Knox, who threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Coen Taylor did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.
One reason for the win was Franklin County's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Shamari Aitken refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. He was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Franklin County, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Delano Collins, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spencer County). They claimed a resounding 50-14 win over Western Hills. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Spencer County's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Franklin County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.
