Basketball Game Preview: Glenbrook North Spartans vs. Deerfield Warriors

Glenbrook North and Deerfield are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Glenbrook North Spartans will be playing at home against the Deerfield Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Glenbrook North has six straight wins, Deerfield has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Glenbrook North didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against New Trier, but they still walked away with a 44-40 victory.

Meanwhile, Deerfield played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 73-25 loss at the hands of Maine South. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-8.

Glenbrook North has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Deerfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Glenbrook North strolled past Deerfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 55-41. Will Glenbrook North repeat their success, or does Deerfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
