Baseball Recap: Bountiful Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bountiful can now relate to. They came up short against the Skyline Eagles on Saturday, falling 18-11. The RedHawks' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Jackson Kyhl led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Bountiful: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyson Burningham, who went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Bountiful's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Skyline, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-13.

As of now, neither Bountiful nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
