Basketball Recap: Eastside Takes a Loss

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Lakeland Lakers 57-17. The contest marked the Blazers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lakeland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Khanchareun, who posted 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Khanchareun a new career-high in points. Kyle Hartsough was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lakeland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Eastside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-48 defeat against Edon on the 21st. As for Lakeland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-56 loss against Fort Wayne North Side on the 21st.
