Baseball Recap: Lacassine Takes a Loss

Lacassine has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 4.08 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Iowa Yellowjackets, falling 10-0. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Lacassine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ray Conner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. What's more, Conner posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Lacassine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Iowa, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Lacassine will be playing at home against Grand Lake at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th. As for Iowa, they are taking a road trip to square off against DeQuincy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
