Monterey waltzed into their matchup  on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Stevenson Pirates 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  on October 3rd.
 The  3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Monterey was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13,  25-15.
Monterey found their leader in sophomore  Drea Pham, who  had five  digs and two  aces.  Della Daniels also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.
 Monterey  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 18  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in seven consecutive  matches.
Monterey's win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Stevenson,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 11-9.
 Coming up, Monterey will square off against Greenfield at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Stevenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
