Softball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Providence Christian Academy LIONS.

Elaina Morgan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those stolen bases were her first of the season. MacLayne Barton was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Grace Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-7. As for Providence Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will take on Ravenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Grace Christian Academy is facing Ravenwood at the right time seeing as Ravenwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Providence Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Providence Christian Academy LIONS take on Franklin Road Academy Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Road Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Providence Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
