Basketball Recap: Hugo Gets the Win

Hugo hadn't done well against Oklahoma City S recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hugo Buffaloes managed a 53-48 victory over the Oklahoma City S Storm. This was a revenge game for the Buffaloes: when they faced off against the Storm back in December of 2024, they had to take a 67-56 loss.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Israel Fugett, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. What's more, Fugett also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Crayton Harland, who had 14 points.

Hugo's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Oklahoma City S, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

Hugo will square off against Madill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oklahoma City S, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Idabel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oklahoma City S is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
