Baseball Game Preview: Chino Cowboys vs. Don Lugo Conquistadores

For the second straight game, Chino will face off against Don Lugo. The Cowboys will head out to take on the Conquistadores at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chino is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.

While Chino's victory against Don Lugo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cowboys won by a run and slipped past the Conquistadores 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cowboys have posted since March 8th.

Xiovany Ochoa made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ochoa was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Ochoa wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Lopez, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Lopez a new career-high. Joseph Granados was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Chino pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Don Lugo, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
