Atrisco Heritage Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 17-12 win over the Manzano Monarchs. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 victory the Monarchs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Carlos Armijo made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.
