Volleyball Recap: Avalon Comes Up Short

Avalon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Calvary Chapel Eagles, falling 3-0. The Lancers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-18.

Avalon now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Calvary Chapel, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Avalon and Calvary Chapel will both be playing Bishop Diego the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Cardinals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lancers will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
