Recap: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Center Place
The Christian Learning Center Mustangs lost against Center Place back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Christian Learning Center fell just short of Center Place by a score of 46-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Christian Learning Center in their matchups with Center Place: they've now lost six in a row.
Christian Learning Center's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Koch, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Easton Rhodes, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Christian Learning Center has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Center Place, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Christian Learning Center will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. Center Place will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Heartland at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
