Basketball Game Preview: Keota Eagles vs. Hillcrest Academy Ravens

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Ravens on Thursday. One thing working in Keota's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.

Keota is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lone Tree, posting an 86-48 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest Academy strolled past Central City with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 64-48. Given the Ravens' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Wildcats are ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Keota pushed their record up to 19-3 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.1 points. As for Hillcrest Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.
