Basketball Game Preview: Twin Lakes Indians vs. Benton Central Bison

The Twin Lakes Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Benton Central Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Twin Lakes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.

Twin Lakes took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They snuck past Frontier with a 45-40 victory.

Twin Lakes got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keaton Miller out in front who posted eight points and 21 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Need, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Benton Central hadn't done well against Covington recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Benton Central skirted past Covington 54-51. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bison as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Twin Lakes' record now sits at 7-5. As for Benton Central, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Twin Lakes was able to grind out a solid victory over Benton Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 59-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Twin Lakes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
