Lake Forest lost against Lakes back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Scouts took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Scouts' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lake Forest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Cole, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Lakes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Forest will head out to face off against Waukegan at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Scouts are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Lakes, they will venture away from home to take on Antioch at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3, the Sequoits 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
