East Union is 10-0 against Manteca since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The East Union Lancers will head out on the road to face off against the Manteca Buffaloes at 6:15 p.m. East Union will be strutting in after a win while Manteca will be coming in after a loss.

East Union is headed into the match having not lost since December 7 and will look to keep things rolling. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Central Catholic 3-2. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Raiders are ranked 961st), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hugo Reyes and Alexis Machuca scored all three of East Union's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Manteca has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 6. They lost 5-2 to Mountain House on Thursday. The game was a close 3-2 at the break, but unfortunately for the Buffaloes it sure didn't stay that way.

East Union's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Manteca, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1.

East Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Manteca in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Union since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
