Upper Sandusky is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 14, 2025 on Monday. They lost 14-6 to Mohawk. The Rams have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
For Mohawk's part, Aubrey Gottfried made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off seven hits. Mohawk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
Mohawk's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Sandusky, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 18-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Upper Sandusky has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .491.
