For the second straight game, Upper Sandusky will face off against Mohawk. The Rams will host the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Upper Sandusky has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Upper Sandusky is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 14, 2025 on Monday. They lost 14-6 to Mohawk. The Rams have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
For Mohawk's part, Aubrey Gottfried made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off seven hits. Gottfried has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Mohawk got a massive performance out of Mallory Brickner, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs Brickner has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Katie Woodland, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Mohawk kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.
Mohawk's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Sandusky, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 18-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Upper Sandusky has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .491. However, it's not like Mohawk struggles in that department as they've averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
