While Fountain Inn put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Emerald. The Fury blew past the Vikings 15-0. The Fury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Collin Wilson looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mason Guion was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Dominick Stopa was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Fountain Inn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emerald only posted an OBP of .143.

Fountain Inn pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Emerald, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fountain Inn will square off against Wren at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Fury surely won't give up without a fight. As for Emerald, they will take on Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
