Baseball Recap: Plainfield Central Takes a Loss

Plainfield Central has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.42 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 10-7 to the Joliet West Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Plainfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Joliet West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-15 record this season.

While Plainfield Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
