Kyle Mott leads Benjamin Franklin to victory over Arete Prep

The Benjamin Franklin Chargers can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-47 victory over Arete Prep. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Benjamin Franklin also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Kyle Mott was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Talan Speir, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Benjamin Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Arete Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Benjamin Franklin and The Gregory School will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at. The Gregory School is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Arete Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Tan Charter at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. San Tan Charter has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 793 points over their last eight games.
