Volleyball Recap: Frontier Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Frontier Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Sterling Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-10.

Kylie Gerk was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and three aces. Those three aces gave her a new career-high. Elliana Pelton also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Frontier Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Sterling, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Frontier Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Windsor Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. As for Sterling, after both having extra time off, they and Fort Morgan will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last.
