Basketball Recap: Linden-Kildare Takes a Loss

Linden-Kildare was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Big Sandy Wildcats, falling 83-29. The Tigers lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-18 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Big Sandy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Brown, who posted 19 points. Brown is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Malijah Francis, who put up 15 points.

Linden-Kildare's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Big Sandy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ore City the next time they take the court. Big Sandy will head out to face Ore City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Linden-Kildare will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
