Basketball Game Preview: Madison West Regents vs. Madison East Purgolders

Madison West hasn't had much luck against Madison East recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Madison West Regents and the Madison East Purgolders will meet in a classic East v. West matchup at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Madison West is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Sun Prairie East and fell 76-20.

Meanwhile, Madison East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 75-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenfield.

Madison West's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Madison East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Madison West was dealt a bruising 86-24 loss at the hands of Madison East when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Madison West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
