Soccer Game Preview: Branford vs. Bell

The Branford Buccaneers will face off against the Bell Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Branford is coming into the game fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Interlachen that saw the pair combine for 30 shots on goal. Both finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Friday. The result kept the Buccaneers happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 13, 2024.

Samantha Ray and Savannah Creech scored all three of Branford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Bell was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Fort White.

Bell's draw gives them a new season record of 5-3-3. As for Branford, they moved theirs to 8-5-5.

Everything went Branford's way against Bell in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Branford made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Branford since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
