Richfield came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Academy of Holy Angels Stars, falling 13-6. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jayden Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Alan Avila Flores, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Richfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Academy of Holy Angels, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richfield will challenge rival Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Academy of Holy Angels is set to square off against their familiar foe DeLaSalle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
