Sunlake lost to Boone back in December of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Sunlake Seahawks managed a 35-30 win over the Boone Braves. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seahawks.

Sunlake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cherity Powells out in front who went 6 for 11 on her way to 12 points and three steals. Kaycie Hyde was another key player, putting up ten points along with six boards and four steals.

Sunlake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.1 points per game. As for Boone, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Sunlake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-26 win against Berkeley Prep on the 3rd. As for Boone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 30-27 victory against Cypress Creek on the 3rd.
