Volleyball Recap: Mae Jemison Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mae Jemison extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the Buckhorn Bucks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Buckhorn, their win bumped their record up to 15-6. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Buckhorn found their leader in sophomore Chloe Brewington, who had eight digs and three aces. Hailey Abernathy also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Looking ahead, Mae Jemison is taking a road trip to face off against Westminster Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buckhorn, they will take on Cherokee Bluff in a tournament on Friday.
