Baseball Recap: Naperville North Comes Up Short

After flying high against Naperville Central on Thursday, Naperville North came back down to earth. The Huskies came up short against the St. Francis Spartans on Saturday, falling 8-1. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Naperville North's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for St. Francis, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Naperville North will head out to square off against Metea Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for St. Francis, they will square off against Aurora Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
