Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Snags 13th Win in Last 16 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lutheran walked away with it. They blew past the Fort Lupton Bluedevils 3-0 on Friday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-16.

Gabriella Speckman paced Lutheran's offense, picking up 13 kills. Speckman got some help from Kate Wilson and her 19 assists. Lucy Worrell controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Fort Lupton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-11.

Coincidentally, Lutheran and Fort Lupton will both be playing Thomas Jefferson the next time they take the court. The Bluedevils will head out to face the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
