Baseball Recap: Olathe Comes Up Short

If Olathe was riding high fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Rangely last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the North Fork Miners by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Jeyden Estrada was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Olathe's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for North Fork, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Olathe is taking a road trip to square off against Basalt at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Fork, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Rangely at 11:00 a.m.
