Providence had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Eastern Eagles a 7-0 shutout. Madison Ellorimo was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Providence's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Eastern, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Providence wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Forest Park on the 26th. As for Eastern, they will venture away from home to face off against Pleasure Ridge Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
