Softball Recap: Loris Takes a Loss

The Loris Lions came up short against the Ironton Fighting Tigers on Tuesday and fell 9-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caitie Black was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaci Griffin, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Loris' loss dropped their record down to 9-9-1. As for Ironton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coming up, Loris will welcome Jackson at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ironton, they will take on James Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Tigers are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
