Basketball Recap: Stearns Takes a Loss

Stearns was the 49-45 winner over Piscataquis when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stearns Minutemen took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piscataquis Pirates on Friday.

Stearns' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Piscataquis, their record is now an identical 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stearns will face off against Katahdin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Katahdin will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Stearns surely won't give up without a fight. As for Piscataquis, they will challenge Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
