Softball Recap: Chittenango Takes a Loss

After flying high against Christian Brothers Academy on Saturday, Chittenango came back down to earth. The Bears took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Hartford Spartans on Tuesday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Spartans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chittenango saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Cavotta, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Chittenango has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season. As for New Hartford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

As of now, neither Chittenango nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
