Basketball Game Preview: Palm Grove Christian Gators vs. West Gate Christian Academy Patriots

Palm Grove Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against West Gate Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Gators will be home for the holidays to greet the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Palm Grove Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59 points per game this season.

West Gate Christian Academy will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Palm Grove Christian extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Gators simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sarasota Military Academy 76-45. With the Gators ahead 38-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Palm Grove Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Troyer out in front who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Troyer a new career-high in blocks (three). Landon Riehl was another key player, shooting 70% from the field on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Palm Grove Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, West Gate Christian Academy came up short against Ruskin Christian on Monday and fell 53-42. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Palm Grove Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Gate Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
