Soccer Recap: Legend Finishes Even with Cherokee Trail

For the first time this season, Legend was forced to settle for a draw. They and the Cherokee Trail Cougars finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The outcome might've been different if Reese Agnew hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Legend's goal came courtesy of Isabella Maershbecker, which was the first she's scored this season.

Legend's draw gives them a new season record of 0-1-1. As for Cherokee Trail, they moved theirs to 1-0-2.

Looking ahead, Legend will venture away from home to square off against Eaglecrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cherokee Trail, they will square off against Fort Collins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cherokee Trail's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
