Roosevelt had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Diego Rivera on Monday. The Rough Riders blew past the Huskies 3-0. The win was familiar territory for the Rough Riders, who have now won five games in a row.

Roosevelt walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-21.

Akeelah Percy paced Roosevelt's offense, picking up ten kills. Percy got some help from Kaley Munoz and her 14 assists. Munoz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Diego Rivera, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
