Soccer Game Preview: East Gaston vs. West Lincoln + How To Watch

The East Gaston Warriors will take on the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Gaston's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monday just wasn't the day for East Gaston's offense. They came up short against Lincolnton on Monday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, East Gaston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 507th, while Lincolnton are ranked 213th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Lincoln, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Kings Mountain 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but West Lincoln were the better team in the second half.

Alexandero Arredondo and Edwin Ramirez scored both of West Lincoln's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

West Lincoln's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests. As for East Gaston, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1.
