Soccer Game Preview: Rockdale vs. Giddings

Rockdale hasn't had much luck against Giddings recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rockdale Tigers will be playing at home against the Giddings Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rockdale will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Taylor, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Rockdale's defense stepped up to hand Taylor a 1-0 shutout on Friday.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Giddings' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Manor New Tech, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Buffaloes were already down 4-1.

Rockdale's win bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Giddings, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
