Madison-Grant's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Blackford Bruins. The victory was some much needed relief for the Argylls as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Madison-Grant walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Blackford lost, don't look at Savanah Clark. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and three aces.

Madison-Grant's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for Blackford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Madison-Grant and Blackford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Argylls will face off against Frankfort at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (343 vs. 139). Meanwhile, Blackford (ranked 318th) will meet Jay County (ranked 89th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
