Basketball Recap: Connersville Spartans vs. Lawrenceburg Tigers
Connersville lost against Lawrenceburg back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Connersville Spartans fell just short of the Lawrenceburg Tigers by a score of 52-50.

Despite the loss, Connersville still got an impressive performance from Jadan Peterson, who on his way to 23 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in points. Hunter Allen was another key player, putting up three points along with five assists and four steals.
Even though they lost, Connersville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrenceburg only nine assists.
Lawrenceburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JP Izzo out in front who to rack up 17 points and six boards. Izzo continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Cole, who en route to 15 points.
Connersville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Lawrenceburg and bumps their season record up to 12-11.
Coming up, Connersville will venture away from home to square off against Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northeastern will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Connersville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lawrenceburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oldenburg Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
