Soccer Game Preview: Gaffney vs. Stall

The Gaffney Indians will take on the Stall Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gaffney managed to keep up with Rock Hill until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Indians lost 4-1 to the Bearcats. Gaffney haven't had much luck with Rock Hill recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Gaffney's goal came courtesy of Danny Turcios, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Stall unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Goose Creek by a score of 1-0 on February 9th. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Stall couldn't quite close it out.

Gaffney suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Stall when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
