Softball Recap: Seabreeze Comes Up Short

Seabreeze and New Smyrna Beach squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Seabreeze had to settle for second. They came up short against the Barracudas, falling 11-0. The Sandcrabs have struggled against the Barracudas recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Seabreeze's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for New Smyrna Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-14 record this season.

Seabreeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will challenge Bishop Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Barracudas are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
