Basketball Game Preview: Westfield School Hornets vs. Calvary Christian Knights

The Westfield School Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Calvary Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westfield School has three straight wins, Calvary Christian has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Westfield School was able to grind out a solid victory over Gatewood, taking the game 43-34.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by St. Anne-Pacelli and fell 61-22. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Vikings are ranked 79th).

Westfield School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Calvary Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Westfield School was able to grind out a solid win over Calvary Christian in their previous matchup on January 9th, winning 43-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westfield School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
