Baseball Recap: Leander Takes a Loss

Leander fell victim to Hays and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 7-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Leander now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Hays, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Leander will challenge rival Cedar Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hays is set to square off against their familiar foe Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hawks 3.8, the Raiders 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
