Volleyball Recap: Sinton Takes a Loss

Sinton was the 3-0 winner over Rockport-Fulton when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Sinton fell just short of Rockport-Fulton by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Pirates fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Rockport-Fulton since Saturday.

Sinton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-23, 15-11.

This is the second loss in a row for Sinton and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Rockport-Fulton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Sinton will be playing in front of their home fans against Cuero at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will head out to challenge Tuloso-Midway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
