Football Recap: Marquette University Comes Up Short

Marquette University and Fond du Lac pushed the score to 255-1 the last time they played Fond du Lac, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The game between the Hilltoppers and the Cardinals didn't end well, with the Hilltoppers falling 17-3. The Hilltoppers lost against the Cardinals in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 255-1 score last time.

Marquette University's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fond du Lac, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Marquette University will challenge Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Hilltoppers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Fond du Lac, they will take on Appleton North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
